Entering the bar, you will immediately know that La Cicala is not your average Spanish tapas bar. Featuring an almost-austere palette of steel grey and dusky brown, the minimalistic interior features sharp, clean geometric angles and an open kitchen where you can interact with the chefs as they create your food. Special features of the bar include a custom-designed wine cellar and a wine-tasting section devoted to introducing guests to new Spanish wine labels.
The food philosophy itself seems to follow Zen principles as well, as the chefs believe in serving “pristine” ingredients in a way that showcase their natural flavours. All is not rigid though, quite the contrary, as creativity is exercised through avant-garde techniques of molecular gastronomy to create truly progressive and unique food.
