With a name that means “Mountain-Water” in Japanese, Sansui Sumiyaki certainly delivers in presenting authentic Japanese cuisine using only the best ingredients from Mother Nature. Located along One Fullerton, this contemporary-chic restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating that will delight.
The indoor dining area is spacious and comfortable, with generously large tables and stylish partitions for privacy, while the al-fresco area provides beautiful views of the Marina Bay and the Integrated Resort.
Sansui’s big draw is definitely its Sumiyaki, a method of cooking on a traditional charcoal grill fired on smokeless white charcoal so that flavours are sealed without getting overpowered by smoke and charring. Must-tries include the Kurobuta Pork and the homemade Tsukune Chicken ball. The restaurant also offers a comprehensive menu that includes sashimi, sushi, noodles, and the bar is well stocked with a large variety of sake, shochu, umeshu, whiskey, beer and wine.
